As the name suggests this room is located on the garden floor of the building. The room evokes a feeling of calm and gives direct access to the garden and terrace. It is suitable for anything from formal meetings to drinks receptions and its original wooden flooring is also very good for dancing!
Garden & Terrace
Our large garden is a hidden gem. Accessible and visible only from The Old Palace itself, yet offering lovely views of the cathedral, the city and beyond. Below the garden is our vineyard, which for hundreds of years was the most northerly vineyard in Europe. The eastern side of the garden is boundaried by tall medieval ruins. At the night the garden is gently floodlit to produce a very special atmosphere.
